About imoves
Meet our founder - Imogen Buxton-Pickles
Dance and fitness have always been Imogen's passion. Her professional credentials include a Sports and Exercise Science BSc (Hons), YMCA FIT Tutor, and a Teaching Level 5 OCR. She holds numerous YMCA FIT Qualifications, including Full Personal Trainer Award and Exercise to Music Award, and is a Certified UK presenter for the New York City Ballet Workout. She also has International Dance Teachers’ Association certifications in modern jazz dance.
Early in her career, Imogen worked one-to-one with UK teachers, helping them deliver better dance and PE lessons to kids aged 4-11. She focused on coaching and supporting teachers to give them the skills and confidence to teach dance themselves.
To reach more teachers, Imogen created imoves Primary Dance in April 2010, putting her teachings online. A full PE programme followed, including gymnastics, Pilates, sports and games, athletics, OAA, combat and Yoga along with popular Active Schools resources. Now, educators worldwide have instant access to everything needed for engaging and fun PE and Active Learning classes, allowing them to teach confidently without being experts.

What content is covered?
This 6-10 week programme covers rolling, jumping, balance, sequences and small apparatus, all in engaging video tutorial skill lessons. And for every skill lesson there's a creative lesson, so children can put their new skills to the rest to a fun music track! Trust that your students are getting the best education with valuable input from ex British Olympics coach, Gary Kirby, who co-wrote this programme's content and instructed the demo videos the primary students will be following.
What is the annual subscription cost for Primary Gymnastics?
We want you to get ultimate value for money, which is why we keep our pricing as low as possible while also including benefits like free-for-life resources. Annual pricing for this programme starts at £147+vat infant school, £177+vat junior school and £247+vat primary school.
Is the subscription per teacher?
No! An imoves subscription is for the whole school to enjoy! We don’t limit to just one teacher as we want your whole school community to benefit from a consistent active learning experience.
How does Primary Gymnastics work?
We keep things simple at imoves, because we know busy teachers don’t want more software to learn. Simply log in to your Primary Gymnastics programme and pick up where you last left off in the sequence of lessons. Each lesson has clear goals, video how-to’s, teacher notes and music, so you have everything you need at the click of a button.
Is music included in the subscription?
It is! Music is a big part of the Primary Gymnastics programme because it allows children to draw their attention to rhythm and movement and -most importantly - enjoying themselves! Each music track is designed to get your students moving!
Can someone help me to get started?
Of course, we are here to help at every stage, but when you sign up you automatically get access to a setup support call with our team. They will guide you through the setup steps and also answer any of your questions about using the programme. And don’t forget we’re here to help you troubleshoot if you have any problems in the future.
I have no gymnastics experience. Will this help me?
It will! Primary Gymnastics was designed to be used by ALL teachers, not just those experienced in gymnastics or physical education. With this programme you have all the resources you need to confidently teach gymnastics class, gradually increasing goals and progressing through a clear structure.
How long will we be able to use the programme?
